5 Ways To Change Your Hair Without A Drastic Change!

by: Kirsty

On a weekly basis we all take a look at ourselves in the mirror and have a meh moment. We sometimes crave a change or a little pick-me-up. However, most of us live a fast past life where we don’t have time for a high maintenance style, or a job where we can’t always be wild with our hair choices.

Lets give you a few small tips on how we can make a little tweak go a long way in the hair world.

1. Number one is styling. Try incorporating different products and styling techniques to create new effects. Products and blow-drying your hair help to create more volume, while adding sea salt spray to medium and short hair delivers texture. Take time to experiment to see what works best for you, or ask your hairdresser for some ways to change up your styling. It can be as easy as a spray to the ends, or a spray to the roots to change the look.

Oway’s sea salt spray is especially good for this. It separates and texturises sections with medium hold, and a matte finish. It reproduces that ruffled ‘beach effect’ look that we all desire now summer is upon us.

2. Before we go to style our hair, it is easy for us to stick to what we know and separate our hair into that usual parting we normally do. What some of us don’t realise is that you can change your natural parting in the hair every now and then to make a difference in the way your hair looks. This can change your hairstyle without a drastic change, while helping to shape your face too.

You don’t need to keep the traditional straight line parting. You can take it on an angle, even zigzag it up which in fact is also great for hiding regrowth or grey hair.

3. Accessories are awesome too. Who doesn’t love a scrunchie, headband or even a headscarf on days you can’t be bothered putting in a lot of effort. This is a great way to jazz it up with very little effort and physical change to your hair.

4. The most common way to change up your hair is by using heat. I’, sure we all own a pair of straighteners or a curling iron. There are so many different ways to create the curl and tousled wave, or even a slick, shiny straighten.

5. You can also play with coloured conditioners. You can use a colour conditioner to change the tone of your hair or get a little wild on a weekend with some fashion colours. The beauty of these is that it only lasts a handful of washes, so no drama on maintaining or committing to a huge change.
